Diary

All our rehearsals are in the main hall at Our Lady's Convent School (OLCS), unless stated otherwise. If you're not sure where the school is, there is a map on the directions page.

Dates for Summer Term 2010
Mon 26 April	First Rehearsal at OLCS
Mon 3 May	Bank Holiday - but there WILL be a rehearsal (note change)
Mon 31 May	Bank Holiday - no rehearsal
Sat 26 June	LOROS 25th Anniversary Concert at Longslade Community College, Birstall 25 Choirs for 25 Minutes We will be performing the Coronation Mass
Mon 28 June	Annual General Meeting - followed by "bring and share" social - drinks provided

Rehearsal notes

Please attend rehearsals regularly to ensure you are well prepared for concerts and uphold the standards of the choir. We would ask that you attend most of the rehearsals during the term if you wish to sing in the next concert.

The regular reminders:
• Please don't forget to bring your pencil to rehearsals and carefully mark your music - every singer, every rehearsal
• Retain a good straight posture
• Concentrate on your breathing
• Enunciate your vowels clearly
• Do some homework between rehearsals
• Please cultivate the Watch Noel habit

Concert dress

Ladies:
• Long-sleeved uniform jade blouse to be worn outside black trousers or a long black skirt.
• Black tights.
• Discreet jewellery may be worn.
• Please do not wear perfume, as this may be irritating to the voices around you.

Men:
• Black formal wear, white shirt, preferably without ruffles.
• Jade uniform bow tie.
• Please do not wear scented aftershave, as this may be irritating to the voices around you.
